Dear Colleagues,

 

It is a great honour for us to invite you to the 1st International Scientific Conference of Primary Care, which will be held on 12 February 2021 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. 

 

The Ljubljana Community Health Centre, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana, is organising the 1st International Scientific Conference of Primary Care under the main theme: Interprofessional Teamwork and Quality in Healthcare. 

 

The conference’s main topics are: professionalism and interprofessional collaboration in primary healthcare; teamwork with a special emphasis on horizontal and vertical collaboration and transition of care; quality and safety in primary healthcare; simulations in education and training; long-term care in primary healthcare and the role of informal caregivers; the new challenges of person-centred care in interprofessional teams; and the structure of primary care and quality. 

 

The Scientific Committee has been preparing an exciting programme based on the main topics, addressing all professionals involved in primary healthcare (physicians, nurses, social workers, public health specialists, physiotherapists, dentists, administrators, psychologists, sociologists), as well as educators, key opinion leaders, informal caregivers and patients.

 

The conference will be held at the Faculty of Law, which is located at the very centre of Ljubljana, beside the Ljubljanica River. Slovenia is a hidden gem in the heart of Europe, surrounded by high Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a charming, safe and cosy city with an old centre containing many beautiful architectural masterpieces by Jože Plečnik. 

 

Ljubljana is ready to host the conference and we are looking forward to seeing you on 26 September 2020.
