EQuiP Expresses Solidarity with Switzerland Following Crans-Montana Tragedy
The EQuiP Executive Board and our entire European network wish to extend our deepest condolences to the people of Switzerland following the catastrophic fire in Crans-Montana on New Year’s Day.
We are profoundly saddened by the loss of so many young lives and the high number of serious injuries. In EQuiP, we believe that the safety of the environments in which our communities gather is a fundamental aspect of public health; it is devastating to see a moment of celebration turn into a national tragedy.
Standing with Swiss Family Doctors We recognize that Swiss family doctors are currently at the heart of the response—providing not only medical care for the injured but vital psychological support for the bereaved and the survivors. We stand in full solidarity with our colleagues as they navigate this crisis.
Our thoughts remain with the victims, their families, and our Swiss colleagues during this period of national mourning.
In solidarity and sympathy,
Prof. Dr. Dorien Zwart
On behalf of the EQuiP Europe Executive Board
